HOW THE BETA WORKS.
- WHAT DO I NEED?BOTH
- A Windows PC and iRacing. We test on Simagic and Logitech wheels, but any wheel should work.
- IS BETA SOFTWARE STABLE?BOTH
- Not always. It's unfinished, so expect bugs and features that change or disappear. It's provided as is. Don't rely on it in a race that really matters to you.
- HOW DO I REPORT BUGS?BOTH
- In our Discord or in the app. When you send feedback or ideas, you agree we can use them to improve Grid Central, with no payment owed.
- WHAT DATA DO YOU KEEP?BOTH
- Your name, email, rig and, if you give it, your Discord handle. Your sim telemetry stays on your PC. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
- CAN I LOSE BETA ACCESS?BOTH
- Yes, if you break these rules, share your access, or try to copy or reverse-engineer the app. We can also end the beta when the full app launches.
WHAT IT COSTS, AND WHEN.
- IS THE BETA FREE?BOTH
- Yes. Nobody pays and nobody needs a card while the beta runs.
- WHY DO I NEED A CARD ON LAUNCH DAY?BOTH
- Your 6 free months of Driver start when you add a card at checkout. You aren't charged anything for 6 months. We'll email you before your first payment. Cancel any time before then and you pay nothing.
- WHO TAKES MY PAYMENT?BOTH
- Lemon Squeezy, our payment partner. They handle cards and sales tax. Grid Central never sees your full card number.
- I'M 16 OR 17. CAN I STILL GET THE FREE MONTHS?OPEN
- Yes. A parent or guardian needs to add their card and agree to the terms for you.
- WHAT HAPPENS AFTER 6 MONTHS?BOTH
- Open beta: Driver carries on at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, or you drop back to the free Rookie plan. Closed beta: Driver carries on at the founding rate of $6.99 a month or $69.90 a year.
- CAN I MOVE UP TO RACE TEAM?BOTH
- Yes, at the standard Race Team price of $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year for 3 drivers. Extra drivers and the Broadcast booth are add-ons, also at standard prices. Beta discounts apply to Driver only.
THE EXTRA RULES FOR THE 30.
- HOW ARE TESTERS CHOSEN?CLOSED
- By application. We pick a mix of rigs, licences, disciplines and time zones, and email everyone either way.
- WHAT DOES THE NDA MEAN FOR ME?CLOSED
- Keep closed builds private. No screenshots, clips, streams or feature details in public until we say something is public. Talking about it in the private closed beta Discord channels is fine.
- HOW LONG DOES THE FOUNDING RATE LAST?CLOSED
- For life, as long as your Driver subscription stays active. You can switch between monthly ($6.99) and yearly ($69.90).
- WHAT IF I CANCEL?CLOSED
- The founding rate is lost for good. If you come back later, you rejoin at the standard price.
- CAN I LEAVE THE CLOSED BETA?CLOSED
- Yes, any time. Tell us in Discord or by email. Your NDA still covers anything you saw while you were in.
